SEORevive ("we," "us," "our") operates the website seorevive.in. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data in compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the IT Act 2000, and the EU GDPR (where applicable).

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Name, email address, phone number, company name
• Website URL, budget range, business type (via audit form)
• Details you share during audit calls and client engagements

Information collected automatically:

• IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
• Pages visited, time spent, referring URL (via Google Analytics 4)
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (via Google Tag Manager)
• Mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and a recording of your session on this site (via Microsoft Clarity). Clarity masks text input by default, so we do not see what you type into forms.

From third parties: We may supplement data from public sources (e.g., LinkedIn, Google Search Console exports you provide) with your consent.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To respond to audit requests and deliver SEO services
• To communicate about projects, invoices, and proposals
• To improve website performance and user experience
• To send occasional SEO insights (only if you opt-in)
• To comply with legal obligations under Indian law

4. Lawful Basis for Processing (DPDP Act Section 7)

We process personal data on the basis of:

• Consent: when you submit the audit form or subscribe to updates
• Legitimate use: to fulfill requested services and respond to inquiries
• Legal compliance: when required by Indian regulators

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with:

• Form submission service: Web3Forms (for audit request delivery)
• Analytics: Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager
• Session recording and heatmaps: Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft privacy statement)
• Communication tools: Google Workspace (email), WhatsApp Business, Zoom
• SEO tools we use on your behalf: Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console (with your written authorization)

All processors have their own privacy policies and are bound by data processing agreements.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary:

• Audit form submissions: 24 months
• Active client records: duration of engagement + 7 years (tax law)
• Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics default)
• Session recordings and heatmaps: held by Microsoft Clarity under Microsoft’s own retention policy
• Marketing email lists: until you unsubscribe

7. Your Rights (DPDP Act, Chapter III)

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct or update inaccurate data
• Erase your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Grievance redressal: file a complaint with us first, then with the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for site functionality, analytics cookies via Google Tag Manager, and cookies set by Microsoft Clarity to recognise a returning session. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies may impact form functionality. To opt out of Microsoft Clarity specifically, enable Do Not Track in your browser or use the Microsoft privacy controls.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable safeguards: HTTPS/TLS encryption, access control on client dashboards, two-factor authentication on our tools, and principle of least privilege. No system is 100% secure; we will notify affected users of any breach within 72 hours as required under DPDP Act.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. International Transfers

Some of our tools (Google, Ahrefs, etc.) may process data outside India. We only use providers with adequate data protection standards.

12. Google User Data: the Search Console Tool

Our free Search Console drop diagnosis lets you sign in with Google and grant read-only access to your Search Console. This section covers that tool only.

• What we access: the list of Search Console properties your account can read and, for the property you choose, its search performance data (clicks, impressions, position, pages and queries) for up to 16 months. The permission is webmasters.readonly. It cannot change anything in your Search Console or on your site.
• How we use it: only to show you, on screen, when your clicks fell, which pages and queries lost them, and whether a confirmed Google update was rolling out on that date.
• Storage: none. Your data is read, shown to you and discarded. We keep no database, file or log of it. Google’s access token is held in your browser session on our server for that visit, and we do not request a long-lived (refresh) token, so access ends within about an hour on its own.
• Sharing: none. We do not sell, transfer or share this data with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising or to train AI or machine-learning models. No person at SEORevive sees it unless you choose to send us the report yourself.
• Ending access: click “Disconnect and revoke access” on the tool, or remove SEORevive at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

SEORevive’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via email or prominent website notice. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect changes.
